Apparently it was "the spleen from hell" according to his surgeons Dr.
Jean Wardell and Dr. Kawasaki. Dark, HUGE, brittle (it broke in two as
they were getting it out), with nodules all over the place. They took
a biopsy with results coming back in a week.

However, no hemorrhaging (they did not need to use the "loaner ferret"
(His name is Shitake) to give blood, and his O2 level was always good
at 96).

It did take about 3.5 hours to stabilize his body temperature.

Bottom line.it was a perfect day! The little Blizz Meister is home
with us now.

Control. Something that we don't seem to have over the situation in
surgery. So we called on our friends and family to get the 3 pillars of
"control" on Blizzard's side .practical clinical and spiritual. We had
a friend who assisted in giving Blizzard his meds and hydrating him.
Another who is a Raike Master and yet another who is a Shaman. However,
I believe it may have been the collective effort of positive energy
giving by Blizzard's internet family that gave him the strength to get
off the surgeons table get his body temperature up.

5 short stories for you that blew me away just over the top. I wish to
stress that I did not know the ladies in numbers 1, 2, or 3 below!

1. Danne DeVore, who volunteered her ferrets to Blizzard in the event
he needed another blood donor!

2. Tracey Schmidt, who drove over to the hospital to meet my wife and I
and to see how Blizzard was doing!

3. Lorraine Lordi, who called me just as I was getting home with The
Blizz Meister to see how he was doing!

4. Dr. Wardell's and Dr. Kawasaki's performance of their great hands!

5. You all. All of your emails that you sent to Blizzard with your well
wishes, prayers, postcards, candle lightings, etc.!

Thank you all for your support and love of the ferret community and
Blizzard! I will keep you all abreast of the results of the biopsy
in approximately 1 week.
