We have been busy busy busy! We recently held a raffle to benefit our group as well as the Ferret & Dove Sanctuary. The raffle raised a total of $160 that was divided between the two. We did not set a goal, but it was a success! Thanks to everyone who participated. We also held our monthly sew day this past Saturday, June 14th. It was a good day and we got a lot done. You can see stats from each of our sew days on our website at http://www.craftyweasels.com Some of the newest additions include an online store. We add a set of bedding from each sew day to the website to help raise money for our shipping fund. With the price of gas these days, shipping costs can be outrageous! But that won't stop us from getting our bedding out to the people who need it. We have a great group of people who continuously donate their time and money just to be sure that the ferrets have enough bedding. Some things I've added to the site this week with my monthly update were letters of thanks, pictures, and June's sew day stats. Letters of thanks are those from shelters who receive our bedding. We haven't heard a bad thing said about our bedding, and that is so wonderful! We've received so many letters that we're starting on our 3rd page on the site. Not to mention the handwritten cards that we have received ^.^ Isn't it wonderful! Some other information we list on our website includes a guide to hosting a sew day as well as instructions on how to sew hammocks and sacks. We put these together to help others learn and hopefully they can help out as well. If you're willing to start a group like ours elsewhere in the country, we will be happy to help you get started. And, I would love to add you to our website as well with your sew day stats and pictures. When you visit our website at http://www.craftyweasels.com be sure to take a moment to sign our guest book. And if you are a shelter or know of a shelter that is not on our list, please sign up in our database. You can click the link on the left that says 'Shelter sign-up' There is an option to hide your information if you don't want the world to see it, our group is the only one to see it, and even then only 2 of us really do anything with the addresses. We send out 3 boxes a month and will send an email to let you know when a box should be coming your way. Dooks & Dances Ann [Posted in FML 6007]
