I have a 12x15 outside enclosure attached to the house for the ferrets. I share my home with some of the beastiest ferrets thought to be polecat hybrids), which I lovingly refer to as Hades Guardians, and they will target other ferrets and be relentless so before letting these ferrets out of their cages to exercise I try to find the victims and safely tuck them in the bedrooms behind plexiglass barriers. Sometimes I miss one or two or they jump the plexiglass. If they run out into the enclosure and a fuss ensues, the wild birds listen intently because.... their plan is to imitate the exact sound of a ferret in distress. I firmly believe the birds sit up in their trees giggling everytime they make me come running outside to see who is fighting, which by the way is NUMEROUS times... Now if they'd just screach at the neighborhood cats like that they'd probably scare them off... tle www.ferretfamilyservices.org [Posted in FML 5974]
