I am very happy to report some of the kids went to their new homes this weekend. Reed and Ruckus are my guys and they're both doing wonderful. Reed is an older guy and totally, totally a big love. He gives the best kisses. It's funny cause I'll play with him and tickle his tummy which he loves and when I stop he'll jump up to grab my hand with his two front paws.. and very, very gently grab my finger in his mouth and try to take me into the tubes with him. Over and over again lol. He's a very sweet, gentle giant. Ruckus, well he's living up to his name :). He's a cage banger. Nothing better than having a ferret banging on the cage in the wee AM even before the alarm goes off cause he wants out to play. He's a big dooker! Into everything he can get into. Thank goodness my house is ferret proofed! He's attempting to ran-sack the whole house dooking and chattering away. He THINKS it's funny! With both of these guys, Im simply amazed at how sweet and loving they are. Though Ruckus will attempt to whip around when he's at his hightened joy if you grab him, he hasn't bit down hard. Reed, well I don't think Reed has it in him. He's so very placid and sweet and did I mention he'll kiss you till your face is raw? I do have one that has issues.. Roy but he's coming around. He gets real upset when you go to grab him and he is fast and hits hard but it's a fear issue with him. Sad but upon first coming home he'd just run from touch.. now he's learning to enjoy it. He absolutly LOVES DOC's and mice too. A friend had told me how feeding whole prey (which I do to 5 of my original gang anyway) works good with biters or potential biters and boy is it ever making a difference with Roy. He's made leaps and bounds of progress already. So, it's been a long three weeks of waiting but gosh, Im so happy to have my boys home. Yes, I still go and work even though my boys are home. My daughter and I went out again last night. Yes, it's taxing working full time and then the two hour round trip twice during the weekday and then again on the weekend but it's been so worth it. I've had the best time helping out Millie. I've also met quite a few wonderful people too boot. Any of you Texas people make a rush, these are just some beautiful kids and they so deserve a wonderful forever home. Till later Leanne in Fort Worth [Posted in FML 5931]
