Just in today at The Ferret & Dove Sanctuary, Inc. of Pensacola, Florida is a 3 month old bundle of ferret-y energy who is slightly out of place among the year-olds to 12-year-olds ferrets all at this Sanctuary. The pet store sold the former owner a little guinea-pig cage marked as a "ferret cage" and it was way too small to give this young lady any "zoom-room" for when she's awake but it's not yet time to be out and about. We put her in a 2-story affair with a hammie, slinky-sleep-tube, a jingly toy, and the two litter pans and bottoms of the cage all lined with newspaper so she can shred and mess with that (in both senses) and of course plenty of food and water for a growing fur-child. When she's got her chance out-and-about, after initially carefully sniffing all the other ferrets' paw-print signatures, even sniffing the rice box for the scents of ferrets at first, she then began to happily dance and zoom around. This little dynamo baby came in as just plain "Yaya", and quickly earned the rest of her name as ItsyBitsyBabaYaya, after a song with that catchy phrase in it that came straight from this little ferret's great sense of dancing rhythm while she ran and played. She's a light cinnamon with all four paws white, a "cinna-mitt" and so her "whole" name is ItsyBitsyBabaYaya Cinna-Mitt.She's only THREE months old! You've just GOTTA adopt this playful little energy-bundle and give her a great ferret-parent's home! Her rabies shot was updated at the vet's on 03-26-2008 and her adoption fee is $75.00 Her pictures are already available on our group www.groups.yahoo.com/group/ferretanddovesanctuary and should be available in the Petfinder pet list scroller of adoptables first thing in the morning of 3-27-08 here (and the next link, too) http://ferretanddovesanctuary.petfinder.com http://www.angelfire.com/theforce/ferret_rescuer/index.html [Posted in FML 5924]
