I use Ivermectin for our shelter ferrets that have ear mites. My vet gives me a 3cc syringe with about 2cc of Ivermectin. The syringe has a needle (but don't use it to penetrate the skin) so that it makes it easier to get a single drop out. I use one drop in each ear and that is good for 2 weeks. Then I recheck in 2 weeks, and they are usually gone. It they aren't, I put in one more drop in each ear. I've never had to repeat after that. It's easy and cheap ($1 per cc of Ivermectin). I keep a chart to know when I've cleaned ears and detected ear mites, then listed the date I gave the Ivermectin. Liz ...in the Company of Ferrets, Inc. [Posted in FML 5895]
