Dear Ophelia, Seems you need help because you purchased a laptop, had it shopped, and they insured the machine before you got it, so the policy is out of date. Check with any insurance company - if you do not pay for insurance car, house, boat, whatever until you take possession - and I think that is the case, you can take your complaint to the Attorney General of your state. These people are just waiting for something to make their day. The lap top sounds like a good deal for them. You fill out a complaint form, give them copies of everything, and they do the rest. The computer people do NOT WANT the state in their business. I have had to do this SEVERAL times - and it ALWAYS works. In fact, I'm on a first name basis with my states Attorney General. Am I a crabby lady????? Nope - I am helping the economy by finding work for these people to do. I feel it is my patriotic duty to help my country. In that light - carry on sister. The state house in your state has all the telephone numbers you need. And, they give them out. Further more - your taxes pay the AG salary -I'm counting on you to help the poor feller earn his pay.
