New symptom of Ferret Suffering from Adrenal Disease 6 yr. old female ferret diagnosed with adrenal disease. Physical symptoms include complete hair loss with weight fluxuations. (All of our ferrets' weights are monitored monthly for the past 8 yrs.) Weights have fluxuated due to seasons and sicknesses. For a female ferret that typically weighs in 1 1/2lbs, Kahula (ferret with adrenal disease) can weigh as much as 2 1/2 lbs. This is not her typical weight. Hormones are escalated due to tumors located on adrenal glands. Normal regulation of hormones is obsolete. New symptom: A complete hair regrowth within the past week. Kahula has not had any surgeries or hormone therapy. Her attitude, appetite, bowl movements and energy drive have all been normal. She has been diagnosed for over a year now. Has anyone heard of this new symptom or have experienced it? I have contact Dr. Bruce Williams and still waiting to hear back. Andria L.
