While many are so busy encouraging adoptions from the Ohio "rescue", please remember that there are dozens of ferret shelters out there which are filled to capacity with "run of the mill" (sarcasm intended) ferrets . In addition to trying to place all of the recently "rescued" ferrets, let's also consider our local shelters if we want to adopt another ferret family member. No, you wouldn't be able to say "I have a DMK ferret", but is that really important? Every homeless ferret out there deserves a home, regardless of its origin.
