The best way to get people NOT to help is to start off by saying I can't give any information. I think the ferret community has had enough of that. That went over the first time and was blamed on the lawsuit. That is no longer an issue. For as much time, effort and money that the ferret community has put into helping these ferrets, they deserve the truth. No more cladestine innuendos, rumors etc. and if people are to adopt these ferrets, they need to know where they have been for the past few months. WHY they have been returned. Why they have not been vaccinated, ADV tested, neutered? At least one of these things??? Why would someone take 65 ferrets if they could not take care of them? The ferret community deserves to know. Granted things come up, medical emergencies, loss of work, all kinds of things. But what was being done for these ferrets in all this time? The contracts were explicit about having them neutered and yet every day you read about more and more people who have intact ferrets, that they have had for a month or more. A lot of them are males who are well old enough and are the less expensive ones to neuter. So where has all this neutering money gone??? So much of this is not adding up. If further help is needed, honesty would be the best policy. [RA] [Posted in FML 5810]
