I have recieved what I would consider a bizzare adoption request, maybe some of you have delt with this person and all is ok...but on the other hand, if things are a bit shady (as they seem to me) I wanted to make everyone aware that something's up. Here are some of the excerpts from her e-mails: ["I want them!!! No questions asked!! You have NO idea how long I've been looking for a black-nosed Sterling (10 years )! I have been on the phone with every breeder, Marshalls, Path Valley, shelters, the internet, you name it, I've looked!" "I live in NJ, and *please* don't tell me that's a problem. I actually have a friend that lives in Ohio and he has a Pet Delivery Service where he picks up pets and drives them to their new homes so they never have to fly. He is willing to pick them up for me and meet me about 1/2 way to get them. I really hope that's ok with you. I usually adopt and buy out of state anyway. My last rescues were from North Carolina and I've had 2 from Florida. So this is normal for me. So let me know if and when he can come get them, and I'm really looking forward to hearing from you!"] So, like I said, just wanted to make everyone aware...if you get something like this beware, your fuzzies might end up going someplace you never intended for them to go! None of the ferrets here will be making the trip from Ohio to North Carolina with "The Pet Delivery Service".
