Well, I used to use kerosene to remove the tar which held the feathers
on. But would let the beast run for a bit as part of the punishment.

The problem with that is so many things would get stuck to the tar. One
day I had a fert come home with the neighbors German shepherd dog stuck
to him. That dog had quite a struggle to overcome that ferret!

So now I use only the blender. I only have to reach for that blender
and he/she immediately changes the behavior to more amenable terms.

But actually the very best thing to do is to hug a fuzzbut. Let the
tube dog know you love him/her. After all, carpet sharks are ankle
biters for a reason !!
