When I make mine, I just sew a fabric loop on the corners (or wherever
they're needed) so that I can use hammy hooks (aka metal shower hooks).
You can sew the loop into the seam, or simply sew it onto the
outside/underside of the hammy.

I hate the sound of those metal hooks in my dryer, too. This way, I can
remove the hammy hooks for washing/drying. Also, if I need the hammy to
hang down lower than one set of hooks will allow, I can use 2 sets of
hooks.
