pets.

Rabies: Rabies can be transmitted by all warm-blooded animals, and
experts recommend vaccinating your ferret against the virus, same as
you do with dogs and cats.

Salmonella: This bacteria, which can cause symptoms similar to stomach
flu in humans, can be spread by a number of animals, including ferrets.
It is spread through contact with animal feces and proper hygiene
should be followed for prevention.
