Scent mapping is something we have been doing for blind or partly blind
ferrets for something along the line of 21 or 22 years (beginning with
Haleakala who was taken in as a retired breeder who'd had an eye bitten
through by a mounting male).

We also have some tricks for exercising ferrets who have poor vision
which got Telemna to not be at all leery of being adventurous again.
