Shron, Good question about bone meal. I wonder, too, because I sometimes make turkey gravy instead of the much longer and messier chicken gravy. I use three one-pound tubes of the cheapest ground turkey and half the additional BCCG ingredients. I put the turkey in a crock pot, break it up and cover with water. Put on low heat overnight or several hours. Allow to cool some, then put in a large bowl and add the other stuff and more water . Let the kibble soak up, then transfer to the blender or Vita-Mix and let it run until smooth. No bones or skin but I use it mostly to give the pred so it doesn't matter. I pour it in to flat-style ZipLock containers and freeze it, a pint in each. Then thaw as needed and make small ice cubes My kids like it just as well as chicken.
