As some of you may remember, the last time I said anything in here about Ferrets Unlimited, & how much they needed help, it caused a major fiasco. So, I'm not getting involved in all that. I don't enjoy being a target in this forum, or getting nasty, childish emails. I've been to Jean's numerous times. I donate a trunk-load of supplies when I have the time to get up there. I've helped scoop poop. I've played w/ the ferrets in her care. I always tell her I wish I lived closer, so I could do more (I'm 1.5 hrs away). What I do want to say is that, no matter what Jean's population at the shelter has been, I have NEVER ONCE seen any ferret in her care be neglected. They get prompt medical treatment; their cages are cleaned daily; they get proper food & water; they get playtime. Even when it means Jean herself has to go w/out ("when" = all the time), the ferrets always come first. So, if anyone here has the idea that Jean's in too far over her head to be able to care for the ferrets in the shelter properly, that is most definitely *not* the case. No matter what else arises, the ferrets always come first w/ Jean. They always have, & they always will.
