It's with a sad and heavy heart I ask the greeters to watch for Pooh. He lost his battle with Adrenal cancer and had to be helped to the Bridge on Tuesday afternoon. He was my 17 year old daughter, Kathryn's, special boy. He was so brave and strong. And loved so much. He will be really missed. Be sure to show him how to contact us and look at us from the clouds. He's a dark sable boy with a speckled nose. He'll have his favorite treats and blanket with him, too. Be sure he finds Holly, Michael, and Lucy who he hasn't met yet as they went on before he came to live with us. And be sure he finds him friends Rocky and Sno. Tell him we did what we thought was best for him when we let him go even though it made us so sad. Dance and fly with your new wings our precious Pooh Bear Cook! We'll see you when we, too, leave this earthly world. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away." Henry David Thoreau [Posted in FML issue 5353]
