I read the posts on Sunday's FML about Alexandra and Puma. You know, anyone who has read Alexandra's posts, who have talked to her, who know her know there is no way she would ever, ever hurt a ferret! And I remember a long time ago on the FML there was another person who had a ferret who kept biting, and others encouraged this person to use their teeth and 'scruff' the ferret like a momma ferret. Okay, think about it----if this person did scruff their ferret and it quit biting, if another person does 'bite' their ferret and it quits biting, have you ever thought that the ferret realizes it's dealing with a much bigger alpha, even if the bigger one is pink, semi hairless, walks on two legs and is definitely not as intelligent as the ferret???? C'mon folks, lighten up. It's been taken way out of context--I'm sure Alexandra didn't bite Puma (at least she didn't draw blood-her teeth aren't sharp enough), nor would she ever have struck her. Alexandra's been dealing with ferrets long enough to know how to handle a biter, and I believe it's not through her biting them....although if she's been watching "Snow Dogs" with Cuba Gooding Jr. she might have gotten the idea of biting Puma like he does Demon....okay, I digress. Everybody just calm down, take it in the vein I'm sure it was meant to be-amusing us all.
