As some of you may know Bailey, my sister Rose's ferret (LFFR bedding) is very sick and septic. They have been trying to get his blood glucose up, it has been a very rough road. Bailey had a hypoglycemic rebound last night (wednesday night). He has been at the vets for a few days now. Her vet was up with him all night -feeding him every hour -he was started on Diazoxide yesterday afternoon and he just cannot maintain any BG on his own. Even now. a day later, after 10 cc feeding over 10 minutes. His BG was only 30. He will not live the weekend without constant supportive care. He is going back on a drip and he may have surgery tomorrow to see if it is indeed a huge or multiple insulinomas . He also has Prostatic cysts. She may loose him-either way with or without surgery. After checking in with her vet tomorrow on Bailey's condition, they will decide if it is a go for surgery. Where Bailey is having such intensive care, the vet bill is going to be exceptionally high, with or without surgery. My sister sells bedding on Ebay and also takes special custom orders. She has also done a lot for the ferret community, especially in donations of her bedding to raffles and to benefit others. Now she needs help. If you need even one piece of bedding please contact her or bid, every bit helps. You can contact Rose through her email [log in to unmask] or check out her items at: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZ1rosebobQQhtZ-1 http://stores.ebay.com/Little-Feet-Ferret-Retreat-Bedding she also has a website www.littlefeetferretbedding.com/ (Ebay seller 1rosebob or search type in LFFR) Her vet hospital will also accept credit cards if anyone wishes to donate money to help pay this huge bill. Just ask for the account of Bailey German @The Pembroke Animal Hospital 1-781-293-5184. Thank you everyone who has helped.
