I, too, sent off a letter to Purina about the Proplan formula. I've never used it -- never even heard of it --until y'all mentioned it. however, I figure that if it helps a few of our fuzzies, perhaps we could all rally and start buying the stuff? That might at the VERY least persuade Purina to consider a line of the stuff for ferrets. I'm certainly FOR anything that can save the lives of another ferret kid! I'm a big food mixer for my fuzzies...and I'd be happy to buy some to mix in with their current food. After all, if they like it, I could use it in chicken soup if/when they become ill at a later date -- and it could help save a life or three. What do the rest of you think? ~Eri in Texas and the Toobsock Trio: Indy, Pixie, and Tucker [Moderator's note: Actually, they DO make Purina Ferret Chow. Or well, they DID... it's known by another name now. It's meant mainly for labs and zoos though about 20 years ago they tried marketing it to consumers. The stuff was really bad. I had a bucket of it and kept the bucket for the novelty of it. Their newer stuff is a bit better at first glance: http://www.nutrazu.com/50h3.htm BIG] [Posted in FML issue 5272]
