this is in response to the Oracle who wrote on the FML a few days ago wondering what art show is going on. POOF is a fund raising idea I had for the IFC symposium after Randy asked if I had any paintings to display at the conference (she had kindly allowed me to show several paintings during the first symposium in 2000). I was reminded that my fine arts department have a yearly mini art show and auction to raise funds for supplies, and thought it would be wonderful to have a mass of art work from the ferret community. the main restrictions for art work is that it must be ferret related (i.e. depicing ferrets, made by a ferret, made with ferret related materials such as ferret poo or ferret kibble). it should also be wall mountable (no room to display scuptures). you can find more information at http://www.ferretaid.org/events/ifc2006/art.html and some sample submissions at http://www.cgl.uwaterloo.ca/~ssiu/artwork/ferretaid2006/ so all you talented artists out there, you know you want to participate in the first ferret only art show!
