Dear Anon, them as I have adopted a few of my ferrets from them. I am just curious if any other ferret rescues have a similar fostering policy (if you want to call it that) about the foster family providing the food and litter for their foster fert instead of the rescue. Not complaining, just curious :) The PFRA foster program has always taken care of medications & vet bills, but the foster homes usually provide litter and food (as long as the foster ferret is on the same mix of food). I have been very fortunate that some of my foster homes have even taken care of medications (prednisone, usually). If any of them needed food or litter, I would be more than happy to provide it, but as I said, I've been very fortunate that they have not had any issues with providing that themselves (they usually find that a very easy way to help out the shelter). Hope this helps! Mary Pennsylvania Ferret Rescue Assn www.ferretrescue.com [Posted in FML issue 5274]
