How easy can this be? Lay the ferret on its back and if you can see/feel a small lump some thing like the nib end of a ball-point pen, then you can assume that what you have is a male, if you do not find this small lump then you can assume that what you have is a female. The only way to know if a female has been done is that your jill will not come into season and if the hob has not been altered then his testicles will descend just under the anus when he comes into season. Jill with all the bits in one area (8) valva at the frount towardes the head direction with anus under the tail. Hobs in season (8) testicules at the frount towardes the head direction with anus under the tail, then the penis around the bell button area, out of season (0) no testicules should be found with anus under the tail, then the penis around the bell button area -- Please contact me I can be of any help, I am not a vet and in the past 32 years none of my animals have visited my vet for anything other than routine check up, plus post-mortems are done on any ferrets that do not reach double figures http://groups.yahoo.com/group/intact-ferrets/ Come see my ferrets http://www.geocities.com/houseferrets13uk/Tonys_Pets.html Some of our fund-raising events http://www.geocities.com/houseferrets13uk/Show.html http://www.webspawner.com/users/ferretwelfair/index.html http://www.headway.org.uk/ The brain Injury association Successful Internet Libel Case http://technology.guardian.co.uk/news/stor...1737001,00.html [Posted in FML issue 5234]
