Independence Friday has signed them over to the Independence Animal Shelter. Aimee Wells, animal control manager, said she has 82 cats, eight dogs and two ferrets up for adoption that came from the house. Three dogs and one cat were euthanized due to bad health. The three birds and one pig have been adopted. Police and animal control officers were called to the home Friday after a call came in saying there was a bad smell coming from the house.
