Lisa - Thank You for one of the most intelligent posts I've read about this issue! I sometimes think pharmacists get more education on the effects of various substances on the body than most MDs do. My husband is also an RPh, & I can't count the times he's had MDs call him to ask which drug would be the best one to use for such-&-such a condition. MDs get a few course in actual medicines - pharmacists get at least 5 (until a couple yrs ago) or 6 (now, w/ the required PharmD degree) yrs of solid *medicine*. Most MDs cannot tell you why a certain medication works the way it does. Any pharmacist worth his/her salt *has* to be able to tell you. We joke that water is indeed bad for one's health in excessive quantities or w/ improper usage. But, it can actually be cause *2* different deadly conditions. One is, as you mentioned, hyperhydrosis. The other one, I believe, is called drowning. ;-) Lin, Ariel, Oberon, Max, Puck, & Ivan To email me back, take out everything from "K" to "2" [Posted in FML issue 5191]
