All ferret caretakers should be aware that the dental health product
GREENIES is a potential intestinal blockage candidate. IN ongoing
news on the canine lists / sites many dogs have had to have emergency
surgeries for intestinal blockages caused by undigested greenies.
Several cases of perforated bowel due to the greenies have also been
reported.

Though the companies state the product is 85% digestible, veterinarians
are reporting the remnants recovered in these surgeries attest to a much
lower digestiblity rate.

Those who are allowing ferrets to chew on larger greenies products should
be aware that there is a great probability the ferrets will suffer from
similar or worse complications as the digestion rate for ferrets is much
shorter than that of a dog.
