Dr. Sandra Kudrak, who was instrumental in writing the petition to the
USDA for ferret specific regulations, will be running her first marathon
the Sunday to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Yes,
that's a full 26.2 miles, and she has been in training since July!
Sandra is running in honor of 4 year old Emily, who after 2 years of
chemotherapy was recently pronounced cancer free!

I can't think of a better way to thank Sandra for all her hard work on
the USDA regulations than by helping her support this wonderful cause.
She is very close to her fundraising goal; it would be great if the
ferret community could put her over the top.

Just a few dollars will help.

And to keep this a little more on topic, the comments submitted to the
USDA on ferret regulations are still available for viewing. Go to
http://www.regulations.gov, and click on Advanced Search and select
Docket Search. Enter "ferret" in the keyword field and click on Submit
to bring up the docket. The web site now only lists 25 submissions at
a time, so if you've used the site in the past and grown old waiting
for it to load, it's MUCH FASTER now! There were some very interesting
submissions the last day or two before the deadline!
