Surprises me that ferrets rescued under these conditions would be adopted
out so quickly. Maybe a 30-day foster first? As to the adrenal surgery,
if I found my guys 30 days later and one had had adrenal surgery, I would
reimburse (if at all possible) - if not, hopefully donations would cover
it. The real problem, as I see it, would be in first locating a missing
pet. Then establishing ownership could be quite a challange .... we know
our own, but most people I show my ferrets to always ask - "How can you
tell", esp. my two shaded silver boys ... Just a suggestion: To be safe,
I always get mine microchipped. A little late for the Katrina pets, but
not too late for everyone else ....

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out
there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out
there is ....
