I just wanted to commment that the AFA does not police shelters and we do not do home visits. Anyone can be listed on our Shelter List. The AFA Shelter Committee is currently working on a shelter certification program and those shelters that would like to go through it will have a home visit - from their vet, but not from any AFA volunteer, Officer or Board Member. When the program is ready to go, Faith Hood (our wonderful Shelter Director) will post out to all the groups with the information. Thank you for reading!
