I currently have a crew of 19 forever ferrets in my care. I took a crew of 6 wonderful babies from Sandy at Heaven Scent about a month ago and am willing to help out if I can. I don't really want to be a shelter because I get to attached and it's too hard to let them go, but I will take in a few more if it will help at all. I've been fortunate to not have but 1 experience of a health problem with any of my ferrets and hopefully won't again anytime soon. I do prefer ferrets that are under 4 years old, alterred and descented. I am really not set up to run a hospice type situation, with all that being said I will help as needed. I live in Arab, Alabama which is between Birmingham & Huntsville. I don't mean to sound harsh with my preferences or to sound as though I would not provide vet care as needed, it's just at this time, I prefer babies that will be able to fit in with my group and routine. Please let me know if I can assist. I have been chatted with Sandi and she's not asking me to take anymore, but she knows I will if needed. I just can't stand to think of all the loves being uncared for, underfed or mistreated in anyway. All my babies know they are loved and are well taken care of and I can't image my life without them it it. My contact phone at home is 256-931-4199, I am there after 5pm everyday and do have voice mail if you need to contact me. I also want to take this opportunity to express my uptmost respect for the shelter moms (and dads) like Sandi that go above and beyond what most would ever believe possible to take care of ferrets and they will be blessed by the herds of ferrets they've lost over the rainbow bridge! My hats off to all of you!
