We are still working Katrina and getting ferrets out of the situation -- so no we have not dropped of the face of the earth. Must tell you the response of the federal government has cause nothing but problems for everyone from ASPCA all the way to HSUS. I've never seen such a FUBAR in my entire disaster career. Just so you know: The big agencies are breaking their backs trying to rescue animals and keep said animals alive and well either to be turned back to their owners (when found) or be adopted out. If ferrets are found we are notified by SOMEONE! Use to be I got direct calls even for sightings. Now I'm lucky to find out second hand there "MIGHT" be a ferret coming into a location. Anyway just thought you might want to know what is going on. Little "Katrina" ferret is doing well and in a foster home until her new dad's military police unit heads back to their home base in Colorado. I sure would like to know HOW that ferret made it, maybe sometime soon I'll get a letter from Sgt. McRae with the particular's of "Katrina's" rescue -- if so I will pass it on. Whomever it was that was bad mouthing Tiny Prints Ferret Rescue - what was up with you? Were you having a bad day? Has the Katrina stress (from watching to much CNN & FOX) gotten to you? If so that is understandable. Now that I said that: Hey, you don't know what your talking about!!! Tiny Prints Ferret Rescue is a fine shelter and their Mom is extortionary. She is a typical shelter Mom that has NO LIFE, NO MONEY, but lots of LOVE AND HOPE - so lay the heck off. Tiny Prints Ferret Rescue: Don't respond to negative post -- people feed of that & negative post are just Crap on Rye Bread - take it from me. Now you are stressed out and had to write that long, long post back to the FML. I am so sorry that happened to you. I think the negative poster should be sentenced to 4 full weeks of 10 hour a day ferret shelter work. Stressed per usual but still hanging in there Chere McCoy Ferret Friends Disaster Response [Posted in FML issue 5003]
