I just wanted to let you all know:

Last night at the last minute Bill Gruber got and then cleaned up the
list of vets in the affected area during time when he probably should
have been sleeping so that it could go into today's FML to help people
right away.

Now, THAT is kindness!

Those who want to say thank you to Bill for all he has done and does
every single day for so many of us should, please, see:
http://www.geocities.com/imdella/fml5000.html
since Bill decided that the SOS and the IFC ELF would be the recipients
of the FML 500 donations, and since Katrina has caused havok, I think we
all know where the donations are most likely to go to help ferrets and
their shelters: hurricane related needs of shelters damaged and shelters
taking in refugee ferrets. This year's hurricane season has been
projected to go into December instead of November due to the heating of
the oceans and Gulf.

There are only 11 days left before the FML 5000 deadline! To date there
are over 120 contributors (and you can see WHO those best-of- the-FML
(IMO) people are by going to the site!) who have donated just over
$3,600 of the $5,000 goal to help ferret shelters. Even a dollar given
by each person remaining would exceed the goal, despite Paypal fees.

Isn't it wonderful to have someone like Bill who is so much a "good-news
story" during this hard time?
