"Ferrets from the United States may enter Canada without an import
permit if a vaccination certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian is
presented at the port of entry and attests that these animals have been
vaccinated against rabies within the year preceding the date of import.
For personal pets, these animals must have been in the owner's personal
possession in the country of origin and accompany the owner to Canada."
