Here in NC locating the clear Dryer tubes in stores is impossable because
they have been taken off the market. But one resource is the Family
Housing facility maintence branch on my local military base. Base
Housing like most military units don't like to spend their alotted funds
unless they have to. In some places they still use the plastic dryer
hoses until they are required to replace them.

They are now required to replace with the metal hoses but will sometimes
have a stock of the plastic which they haven't tossed out. I have found
that if you ask nice they will help you out if they can.

Another cheap tube you can get 20' pieces of black tubing from Lowes or
Home Depot. They only cost $4.00 each, you can cut them and add
connector pieces and make a tube maze and the pieces can be placed at an
angle and looped. Because the tubing is ridgged it won't colapse on
itself and trapp fuzzies. It also has small hoes in it so getting air
is never a problem. Also because the materal is hard claws can't tear it
and there is no metal wires that can hurt.

The only down side is that you cant see the fuzzbutts having a good time.
Also if you have limited room these can take up space.

If you have free roaming these tubes are great for placing in your living
room behind your sofa or along the base boards. The pipes do make a loud
noise when a fuzzbutt runs through.
