Yes, Carol, I wish too I would have adopted out 43, because there are 43 more waiting for help. All shelters wish at this time in point to be able to adopt out huge amounts of ferrets......Right Guys! But unfortunately, there are some here that have to stay with me due to health issues like Irwin (who has terminal lymphoma) and Anna (his long time mate), Calista (who still suffers from balance issues due to severe dehydration) and Harrison (her long time cage mate), Bear and Murphy (who have insulinoma), and then of course some of the older ferrets like Destiny and Leotie or Jack and Payton where a move at this time in their life would not be good. So your 43 ferret expectation is a bit high, unless I would not take into consideration what is best for the ferrets. But if you want, you can keep watching my Petfinder web page (link below) and you will see how many we do adopt out on an ongoing basis. Pretty good amount of them considering we are a family run shelter. Thanks so much again for your nice letter of encouragement Carol. I pass this encouragement to all the other shelters out there that are also doing a great job with adoptions and surrenders also. With all of us banned together WE can make a DIFFERENCE in the lives of these ferrets who need to be rehomed or helped medically! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!
