Boy, did I have a scare. I was making up some "cheater" black beans (not the Goya Black Bean Soup to which I add Spicy Cilantro w Coconut Chutney, but the Kuners Black Beans w Lime to which I add cumin, basil (or lemon basil or another specialty basil desired), cilantro, minced onion, minced garlic, lime juice, red pepper, and whatever else suits for the day's needs -- epizote, whatever) when Morney climbed into the refrigerator. Well, that was funny at first, but then I learned something I had not known. Behind our bottom shelf is an opening that goes down to a fan. When I saw Morney slip downward I freaked -- just lost it -- but luckily my reaction scared Morney enough that she lept out of there and onto some of the bulk spice jars. She wasn't even hurt. For a second there it was really scary, though, and it could potentially have been very dangerous, so watch out for ferrets in the fridge as well as those who might get under, behind, or beside them (Problems we have already solved by using caging to seal it off while allowing air-flow.) Don't let ferrets or other small animals into the refrigerator. -- Sukie (not a vet) Ferret Health List http://www.smartgroups.com/groups/ferrethealth FHL Archives http://fhl.sonic-weasel.org International Ferret Congress http://www.ferretcongress.org Hey, Black Beans are VERY, VERY good and very, very good for you -- if you are human: http://www.sciencenews.org/articles/20050709/food.asp [Posted in FML issue 4934]
