When last we read, BIG had a coconut flying through the air.... The story was passed to Rebecca Carlton. Rebecca Wrote: Flying...flying through the air.....Christianaferret turned to watch the coconut fly through the air desperately hoping that it would hit something hard on the way down to split it open. A rock, a hard branch, anything to split this coconut, so she could bring water to the stranger's horse. He was after all, sitting there on his horse, waiting, she could see him in the distance visiting with all the jills. As she watched the coconut practical thoughts melted away as the whistling noise of the coconut flying through the air captured her attention. She thought, "My legs must be very strong to send that coconut flying so far through the air, why it is just now starting its descent." Having never done any manual labor, Christianaferret was impressed at how strong she was. Towards the ground it falls. As Christianaferret watches the coconut she realizes that it is headed right for the Dook. The whistling noise gets louder. "Oh my goodness, Christianaferret is thinking out loud, "Can't he hear the whistle???" She watches in horror as the blissfully unaware stranger sits so gallantly on his steed joking and laughing with all the jills. She realizes that they are laughing so loudly they cannot hear the whistle of the coconut falling from the sky. Then it happens. Right before her eyes the coconut hits the Dook square on the head. It hits him with such a force that the coconut splits open. The Dook falls to the ground, unconscious. All of the jills and kits gather around the stranger to try and help him. Christianaferret is frozen with fear. "What should I do?" She said to herself. "I can't be discovered, father would be so disappointed in me. But what about the Dook? I can't leave him lying unconscious on the ground. What if he has brain damage??? Oh my what shall I do???" Christianaferret decided that since there were so many trying to help the Dook, the best thing for her to do would be to get back to the castle as fast as her strong little legs could carry her. She would think on all of the day?s events once she got back to the safety of her room. So Christianaferret scurried down from the tree, grabbed her beautiful box and headed for home. She thought along the way of all the questions she would have for this magic chest once she was snuggled up in her hammie. To be continued....on Monday. [Posted in FML issue 4911]
