Don't know when, exactly yet, but Great folks are coming to help The Ferret And Dove Sanctuary of Pensacola, Florida, sometime soon! We've had a marvelous meeting with one of the scout leaders and an Eagle Scout of a local Boy Scouting troop who are going to schedule a special day to help build a new hurricane-proof aviary for the doves, build the rest of the cage-carts-on-wheels (we have not quite half of our ferrets' cages all on home-made and raised to non-back-breaking height-to-clean-carts on caster-wheels which we can clean behind and beneath them more easily and also pack for more efficient space especially when we also are extra-loaded with boarder-ed ferrets. These roll right nicely on the terrazzo ((polished stone)) floors...I think those ferrets already living in cages on their roller carts actually like and look forward to their after-playtime rides!)) So they took pictures and measurements and are going to build the rest of the cages'-carts-on-wheels, and also, above and beyond all that, they and their volunteers (great fathers of some of them who know construction and stuff!) are going to put in the Hurricane Ivan Window which we have obtained with some of the Ivan-help money but have not, until now, found anyone who either could or would mount a new window AND frame in, and take out the rest of the bent-up and shattered mess left of the old. Well, if this isn't great news, I don't know WHAT-all! So when they all come we're going to have interviews and filming done by reporters and other interested friends and make sure *These* Boy Scouts get the kudos and credit they will be so marvelously deserving of.
