Just a quick reminder . . . . SATURDAY, MAY 14th is "STAMP OUT HUNGER"
day - the United States Post Office's annual canned food drive. It's
the one day a year letter carriers nationwide attempt to help families
in need in their respective communities.

As someone currently unemployed and who has had to eat humility in large
portions and rely on food banks for assistance at least once in my life,
I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL to those who gave what they could so I could
eat - even as meager as it was at times. I know that many, many of you
out there are overwhelmed with mounting vet bills and maxed out credit
cards and think that you have absolutely not a dime to spare or even one
extra can/box of food to give. If that is the case, then please don't
feel obligated or one ounce of guilt.

But for those of you out there who, like me, are optimistic believers in
the "what (good) goes around, comes around" theory, then hopefully you
can and will do your part to reach way back in those cupboards and find
SOMETHING to donate :-) Or maybe even do a quick grocery store run to the
discount store for some veggies.

I know that whatever you can give is always greatly appreciated and never
goes to waste! It is not for us to judge those in need but rather our
responsibility to give with a grateful heart, believing that the
generosity will ALWAYS be rewarded :-)

Thanks for whatever you can do; have a blessed weekend!
