I was wondering if anyone had an estimate of how many calories you burn every day being a ferret owner? Let's see; 1. Running through the house 2-4 times daily dragging ferrets on blanket. 2. Carrying ferrets 'Taxi' style though house in large, clear, zippered plastic bag, and in a Trader Joe's bag--2 times a day. 3. Picking ferrets up--putting ferrets down--picking ferrets up--putting ferrets down--20-100 times a day. 4. Chasing ferrets to retrieve no-nos from them-2-8 times a day. 5. Chasing ferrets to play with them 2-4 times a day. 6. Cleaning cages, picking up poopies, picking up toys-lost count. 7. Chasing ferrets though house for bath time--1-2 times a month. 8. Dragging toy on string with stick-1-2 times a day. 9. Hunting them down for the nose count--3-4 times a day. 10. Tracking ferrets just to see what they are up too--2-4 times a day. 11. Chasing ferrets to grab and kiss--countless. 12. Running from ferrets--2-6 times a day. I am sure there are lots of other things, too. Now, if we could come up with this on a DVD and get a show on TV, "Exercising with Ferrets" we could make enough money to support all of out shelters--It was just an idea.
