I should not try to write at 3 a.m.

This says it more clearly than the last try which I sent:

You have totally confused me.

If you meant my teasing James about the TX heat then you should realize
that he is in Texas (I know because I know which vet I sent him to when
his ferret was in trouble to save the ferret.) and I commonly tease
people in the Southland about the heat because I have trouble dealing
with it myself (esp. with hot flashes on top of it).

The comment meant LITERALLY what it said: Texas is HOT and Summer is
coming. It's like when people tease me about mosquitos because I am in
NJ -- just the typical standing regional/state type of joke that everyone
uses, not always completely accurate but good for the familiar standing-
joke laugh.

So, no, it didn't have anything to do with something that happened two
weeks ago, which I apparently missed, anyway.

Besides, I think James said that he'd been lurking due to his advanced
studies, so he may well not be the same person who gave you the hard
time back then; it's a pretty common first name.

I think there seems to be quite some confusion going on.

"Sometimes a banana is just a banana" as the quote goes.
