Alexandra, I'm jealous.  Not just because you saw a possible mink, but
because you have nephew that can identify a ferret.  I have a nearly
two year old nephew who adores my ferrets.  He is very gentle with them
(gives cuddles and kisses) and is learning how to hold them.  But he
calls them (fondly) "rat!", since that's what his Dad (my teasing
brother) identifies them as.  I sent them a photo of my three fuzzgals
proudly wearing (aka tolerating) their spring hats to show him how
civilized these fuzzones are.  My brother went into Dr Seuss speak for
my nephew "Hats on rats, rats in hats".  It may be hopeless.
