Dear Lisette, I loved your post. It clearly showed your pure heart and kind intent. Please accept my apology for being MIA. Following the rescue of the Abingdon 43, myself and another member of the rescue team became very ill. I guess it was the flu, I don't know for sure. But I've been in bed for the past two weeks. At the onset, however, I did get to go to Annapolis to testify on behalf of HB620, The Ferret Protection Act. I've continued to network on that task and writing the Chairman and Committee Members, when I've been able to. As sick as I was, the vet gave me strict instructions to not even go near these ferrets, or any ferrets for that matter. He was very concerned about how susceptible they might be to the flu. So, I wasn't even able to closely acquaint myself with Rocky's new shelter kids. I see where the confusion was, there was an initial post by a good hearted soul that isn't associated with our shelter or even lives in the same state. In that post she erroneously stated that this was another Hagerstown rescue, but she did correct herself the next day. But the ball of confusion had started rolling as it appears. I was pretty much sneezing, aching and sleeping my way though all those posts. I'll do a separate post about the rescue, but I wanted to acknowledge your wonderful spirit of wanting to help these kids by straightening out the confusion. Ya did fine!!! Thank you.
