In Sept Draco had adrenal surgery and his spleen removed. Larry (our vet) found that his liver and pancreas were full of tumors. He called me over to the surgical table and showed me what he found. He then asked what I wanted to do. It took one second to make up my mind, I wanted Draco to live so Larry put everything back in place and closed Draco's abdomen. Draco talked all the time, when he would eat he would make little mewing noises, when he pottied he made big noises of displeasure but he never seemed to be in pain, perhaps a bit uncomfortable though - his appetite remained normal for him, which was ravenous, and he continued to totter through the house from bed to bed. Draco left us this morning at 6:30. He was estimated to be between 8 and 10 years old - probably closer to 9.5, or as Larry put it, as old as the hills. Please, in Draco's memory, give your little ones extra cuddles and play time. hugs. tle Troy Lynn Eckart, F.B.S.
