>Here's hoping everything is ok...it almost sounds like a bout with >Insulinoma..the staggering and sleeping part...when you fed him it >raised his blood sugar up a little to make him feel better....I may be >wrong but even if it is there is treatment depending on his age and >condition ( surgery or meds )...I would say at least in my group of 10 >that 90% get it and like I said it is very treatable... > >Hugs and kisses to Big Vinnie and you take it easy... >Jackie thanks our vet called and it's a liver infection and he's well on the road to recovery we're feeding him a special slurry diet the vet gave us and at breakfast today for Vinnie he ate 15CC of food along with a full cap of pediatric electrolyte he's doing well. When we got our new furkid George his former mommy gave us a very expensive cage and we used that cage for a secure sleeping place so we knew where we could find him to medicate and feed him. The cage is nearly 6ft tall and man it's got more shelves then my kitchen cabinets along with ramps and Georges hammy which I need to put in for George and Vinnie when he gets stronger. All 4 of our furkids sleep in a fur pile sometimes and it's so cute when they do it now we have a larger business and I am so happy I could just do a war dance of my own :-) and everyone on the list that's reading this I don't want to put on my fire proof shorts ;-) our vet who is the leading vet on the west coast if not the entire country she said that ferrets get these liver infections she doesn't know why or how but they do and it's not contagious. Vinnie he will live and I made a deal with The Almighty if he lets Vinnie stay in the land of the living I'd never come home that drunk again. Have a good time and heres some good vibes to your furkids. Sincerely David Owings [Posted in FML issue 4780]
