Another little ferret was seen making his way across the Bridge by the name of Fidget. Muldoone had already been filled in on this guy and he was a little nervous about the greeting. Prior to coming to the Bridge that morning to greet the new arrival, Muldoone had been instructed to bring Hotspur, Fidget's favorite ferret. When Nanna told Muldoone he was to take Hotspur along to greet Fidget, Mully wanted to balk. "But Nanna, complains Mully, dat Hotspurt gurl fewet, she be mean, she bite and wikes to beats up boy fewets. Well then Muldoone I suggest you gather all your Bridge Greeter charm and make sure you don't get beaten up by a GIRL ferret. But Nanna, no buts about it Muldoone admonishes Nanna, you will greet Fidget and you will take Hotspur along with you. Hotspur had to come here and Fidget missed her so much he gave up and came here so he would be with her again. Maybes he missedid getting beat up by her Mully grumbled. I heard that Muldoone Nanna shouts back. A very handsome sable ferret with soft lush fur came running across the Bridge, holding out his arms to Hotspur and once he reached her, they fell to the ground wrestling and weasel war dancing, giggling, and giving one another ferrety kisses. Muldoone stepped aside to give the two ferrets room to do all the hugging and kissing, wrestling and weasel war dancing they wanted to do. After several minutes the two ferrets were still getting reunited and as much as Mully hated to break it up, he had a job to do. Clearing his throat and trying to get the attention of the new arrival, Hotspur spoke up; "whats wong Mulligan, gots some of dat hammy-head-hair stuck in your froat? Turning several shades of red Mully reminds Hotspur da name be Mr. Muldoone NOT Mulligan" all the while trying to look official and important in the eyes of the newcomer. Weltomes to da Wainbow Bwidge, I be Mr. Muldoone officialist Bwidge gweeter. I sees you knows Hotspurt. My name be Hotspur not Hotspurt the little girl ferret growls at Mully. Sworry, geezums gurl fewets be touchy sometimes. Fidget laughs and eyes shinning with love for his friend he has been reunited with, he agrees with Muldoone that Hotspur can be pretty fiesty for a girl ferret. "Mr. Muldoone cans my bestest fewet fwiend Hotspur shows me wound da Bwidge asks Fidget. We bees apart and wants to be togedder 'gain. Pwease Mr. Muldoone asks Hotspur, I pwomises nots to beats you up no mores". Turning beet red Mully readily agrees to the request but worries how he will explain to Nanna not doing this greeting by the book from beginning to end. [Posted in FML issue 4768]
