I was thinking how lucky I am to so far be able to provide all the ferrets that come my way with whatever they need. I am a ferret mom of 9 a foster mom whenever needed & a member of Massachusetts Ferret Friends www.maferrets.org I noticed the Ferret Giving Tree and also thought of the ferrets we have in foster care, who are at the local ARL's, & MSPCA's. Instead of me just acting as one person picking a couple of deserving ferrets and sending off care packages to them, I thought that I could do so much more and reach out to so many more ferrets by contacting my human ferret friends and host a ferret package party. What could be more fun and accomplish so much more? So I'm calling out to anyone in Massachusetts to join us!! I am hosting a Ferret Care Package Party at my house on Sunday, December 12th beginning at 1pm in order for anyone who wants to join us to pool together our ferret items to prepare Ferret Care Packages and send them out over the holiday season. I am putting in a big order at The Ferret Store as most of the posts I see are asking for ferret tone, ferretvite or nutrical, ferret treats, bedding and toys. I have received word from one of the super ferret bed makers who will bring some lovingly hand make snuggle sacks, crocheted afghans, and bed as well as some non-ferret people (they are rare)who are saving boxes and stamps for me. If you are entertaining the idea (and don't have previous plans) how about joining us to prepare ferret care packages on December 12th starting around 1pm at my house? Please go to the Ferret Giving Tree http://givingtree.friendsoffuzzies.com and select any number of ferrets that you would like to make special this Christmas and print out their information (as it contains items they need as well as where we need to send the package to). Another idea is to prepare a generic ferret care package. I have contacted Donna from The Educated Ferret Shelter in South Hadley Massachusetts, as well as the local Animal Rescue Leagues and MSPCA's to see how many ferrets they need care packages for. (Let's not forget about them, they aren't even going to enjoy Christmas with either a loving Shelter Mom or Foster Mom (or Dad), and have to put up with those barking dogs!) Or, if you would just like to come and join the holiday fun and ferret fellowship with the other ferret slaves feel free. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you soon!
