Once again, I am faced with, to me, the most stressful event with a fuzzy: Not eating on their own. Hobbes may have adrenal, insulinoma, or both. I know from my other fuzzies, I have to get some food, on a regular basis, into him or he will loose weight very quickly and not be a good candidate for surgery (once we figure out what is wrong with him). Yesterday, his BG was 165. I have tried some of the common preparations to feed a non-eating fuzzy: A/D alone and mixed with just a little ferretone, Duck Soup that has mostly Gerber's chicken dinner with a little Boost, pedialyte, and ferretone, and Bob's Chicken Gravy. I don't want to make the feeding stressful. He may never want to be on my lap again! I put a small amount on the end of my finger and let him smell it and then I put a little bit around his lips so he can taste it also. After I do this, he bolts from my lap and runs to the other end of the house. He does this even when he is lethargic. At this point, I just need something easy on the stomach, doesn't require chewing, and he _will_ eat! Please tell me what and how you feed in this situation! Thanks! -- William M.
