Editor Mr. Bones Cub Reporter Andy Hey folks, Mr. Bones here, you remember, the elder of the news crew? I just wanted to let you all know that I am carrying my weight around here; Andy is doing a fine job on the news letter without me. I am only semi-retired. I have taken over watching the shelter for that Master Largo kid that left for the bridge back in April. Mum has had to take on more hours driving that big yellow thingy that she calls a school bus so I have taken over watching the crews while she is gone. I just did not want you to think I was sitten here watching every one else work while I wallowed away the hours in luxury. Now I will turn over the news to that cranky young-in Andy to bring you up to speed on what has been going on in the shelter this past month. Young-in you say? UMH!!! Well Andy cub reporter here, you know that 4 legged fur kid that lives here at the shelter; not that 2 legged furless one that took 3 of my buddies to go live with him and now he won't tell my mum how they are or what is going on. Mum is really really upset cuz she likes to know that the kids she sends out to 4-ever homes are safe and being well cared for. She can't seem to find out what is going on because he will not respond to mum. So if any of you knows what is going on with Stewart, Peanut and Butter will you let my mum know so she can stop ringing her hands and squeezing the stuffens out of me cuz she is so worried about them? Mum had a rough September, 4 of my buddies from the shelter went to join Master Largo at Rainbow Bridge; one each week, I think I told you about Sonya in last months letter. She died on 9-6. Aunt Mary said she was full of tumors. Then on 9-15 Penelope died, mum found her in her bed gone. She was the one Doc sent home to be comfortable because he could not fix her up. Bemember Sampson and Colby went up to see our favorite doc because Aunt Mary felt something inside them? Well Peter brought them both home. Colby is on hurt stick lupron cause Doc says he is NOT a good candidate for adrenal and vena cava ligation, Sampson had surgery, he camed home on September 15th with stings in his belly. Our favorite Doc found Sampson had insulinoma, an ulcer and a marble size lump on the outside of his intestine, doc took the things out he could. Peter brought Sampson home 9-15 but he died on 9-20 from complications of his ulcer. Mum sent 4 kids up to see Doc for a BG with Mr. Peter. Peter the ambulance without lights and sirens camed to get them so our favorite Doc could check thems out. By the time they got to Doc Nyxa was really really sick, she was cold and needed Aunt Mary to fix her up with hurt sticks so she could come back to us, Brown Oscar, Fred, and Cocoa went up with Nyxa, they had the test done they all have insulinoma but they came home, Aunt Mary said they needed to keep Nyxa for a little bit. Then on 9-27 mum found Venus gone in her cage. She was the one that Doc said had lymphoma and we were to keep her comfortable. All these guys was born in 1996/97/98 so they was old as well as sick. My Mum's heart is breaking!! Mum drove the big yellow thingy on Grape festival weekend both days, Miss Anna was going to come watch us on Saturday but one of her fur kids got really sick so she could not come she had to stay and take care of her own kid, we made out okay though. Miss Anna said she would come play with us another time. Sunday Miss Donna camed to watch us, we like it when she comes she don't follow the rules and lets us out even if it is not our turn. We got lots of extra time out because Miss Donna wanted to play with us! Hee heee. Come watch us again Miss Donna! PLEEASE! Miss Stacie; Fred's far away mom came over to help mum get the lumber that was out sitting in the back yard put up in the barn, she brought us new carpet for our cages and she brought mum some big muffins that mum wouldn't share!#^%@#@&^ Man that is stinky! Just like that Brave Heart is stinky! Claudia's far away dad came to visit, he stayed to play with us for a while. He really likes the Monster crew, Junior, Evita and Bandit IV. We had boarders in and out all month, Greenberg kids are still here, they will be here till spring. They are going to see our favorite Doc on Columbus Day to get hurt sticks and micro chip so they can go live with their mom and dad in Scotland. NO! MUM; is not shipping them; their mom and dad are going to come get them in the spring. MUM DON'T ship fur kids NO HOW! NO WHERE! NO WAY! Powers kids and Cooper Thiel were here too for a while. Powers kids just left today for home. They are some wild kids they are! Cooper kid was up to see our favorite doc for drenal surgery, he came home when his mom had to be away so my mum took care of him till his mom could come get him. He had strings in his belly too. His mom wrote and told mum he was happy to be home and doing well. YEA Cooper you go boy! (That Cooper boy use to live her at the shelter a long time ago) Donna and Doug has comed down to do the yard, Donna got the bushes all cut back again, more and more humans are telling our mum how nice our yard looks... She knows it sure would not look that nice if she did it! (Yeah on more thing mum would have to do and NOT be in the house taking care of us!!) We love you Donna for doing that for mum!!!! We met some new humans Tiera and Robert they is looking to adopt one of us fur kids. They was here for a few hours looking us and the place over. I think they is coming this weekend too.
